The Jack And Jill Run up the Hill 2009

Will take place in Kenmare on Saturday April 18 th 2009.
This is a 10-kilometre charity run or walk in the surroundings of Kenmare town.
Last year 850 people took to the hills, had an enjoyable day ………..and night!
and raised €32,000 for a deserving cause.
2009 sees the return of ‘The Jack and Jill’. Monies raised in the event for 09 are to be donated to The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation and Kenmare Community Care. Jack and Jill provide respite care for severely ill children, up to the age of four, and their families, in the Republic of Ireland, Including many in Kerry and surrounds. Kenmare Community Care provides meals, activities and company for the local elderly people in the centre in Shelburne St, Kenmare 5 days a week
The race is being organised in conjunction with Kenmare Triathlon Club. A minimum entry fee of €30.00 will be collected from each entrant and a tee shirt be included in this fee. The use of sponsorship cards is therefore not required.
It is open to runners and walkers of all ages.

Under 16’s must be accompanied and can enter for a minimum of € 5.00
All entrants are asked to bring a friend.

Refreshments (Waterstation and coffee/cookies) will be provided at the Top Of The Hill and at the finish line.

Hi all, did a practise run of "up the hill and o my GOD I would like to rename it "up the mountain"!!! the first 3k are tough but you feel great when you get to the top, it for a brillant cause so dust off your runners and hit the road. See you on the 12th April.
